What Is An ECU?
The ECU (Engine Control Unit) in your car is often described as “the brain” of the vehicle, responsible for the analysis of several key pieces of information such as engine temperature, exhaust and fuel quantity. The accurate assessment and management of this data by the ECU can help maximise engine performance and emission control when overtaking, accelerating and “pulling away”.
Most car manufacturers fail to program or “map” the ECU to its optimum potential, ensuring their vehicles meet a broad range of settings and legislative requirements for all the different countries in which they are sold.
